Appearance happens on the inside

Following a legacy of artists’ making holes, I created some holes in a small plot of land outside my studio. Using 35mm SLR film and digital cameras, I recorded changes and daily fluctuations in light and began to think more about the importance of the provisional, transparence and the filmic as a way of noticing things less visible.

This work is available to buy as two separate photobook editions with either B+W or colour images printed onto handmade Frogmore Heritage Mill papers and bound with naturally dyed thread made in Japan.
